Fireproofing Steel Structures
With structural steel losing strength at certain high temperatures that can rapidly reached in building fires, it requires the highest level of fireproofing. The purpose of fireproofing structural steel is mainly to delay the onset of the loss of strength and possible collapse of the steel structure and therefore the building. The is an essential part of our fireproofing system as this process allows extra time for the occupants to evacuate the building, the extra time provided is also essential for the emergency services tackling the fire itself.
Fireproofing Regulations
The Fireproofing regulations are as followed for any steel section of a structure to ensure maximum fire resistance. These Fireproofing guidelines are based on the application of fireproofing systems such as dense rock mineral wool slabs or fibre reinforced Gysum based board.

During the Installation of the fireproofing process in any commercial or industrial sector, we will provide up to date information and analysis with respect to changes that may occur with regards to health and safety regulations, helping our clients meet the budget guidelines whilst achieving the full potential of our fireproofing systems.
Insurance
Fireproofing any structure to prevent collapse is important in itself, yet this process also minimises insurance losses. Building Regulations covering fire safety are concerned with the preservation of life. With the increasing use of structural steel in construction, designers need fire protection solutions that provide a combination of fast installation and cost-effectiveness whilst achieving the desired finish.
The Process
Our Team of experienced fireproofing specialist ensure no surface in need of protection is left uncovered, ensuring the safety of the building structure and its occupants.
